Introduction:

The purpose of this policy is to set the rules that apply to the specific circumstances where authorisation and payment of refunds of tuition fees for learner applies.

Short courses refunds: 

If you wish to cancel a booking on short course ( e.g First Aid, Safeguarding, Health and Safety at work, etc), you must apply for the refund in writing. You can either e-mail us info@ascend-training.co.uk or write to us:

Course cancellation is subject to fees as detailed bellow:

If the course is cancelled by the learner more than 21 days before the date of the course, 75% of the fee will be refunded or given the opportunity to book the same course on a different date if other dates are available. It is at the discretion of the centre to decide if the place at a later date can be allocated.  

If the course is cancelled by the learner between 20 and 11 working days before the date of the course, 50% of the fee will be refunded or the given opportunity to book the same course on a different date if other dates are available. It is at the discretion of the centre to decide if the place at a later date can be allocated.   

If the course is cancelled by the learner less than 10 working days before the date of the course, no fee will be refunded but the learner will have the opportunity to book the same course on a different date if other dates available. It is at the discretion of the centre to decide if the place at a later date can be allocated.  An administration fee might be incurred.

If the course is cancelled by the centre, full refund will be given.

Once the refund is agreed, the agreed amount will be returned using the same means of payment as used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. The amount will be transferred within 14 working days.

 

 

Functional Skills refunds:  

If you wish to cancel a booking on an ‘Exam Only’ Functional Skills Package, you must apply for the refund in writing. You can either e-mail us info@ascend-training.co.uk or write to us:

The resit fee is non-refundable.

When the date of the exam is reschedule by the learner within less than 48 hours prior to the exam, the resit fee will need to be paid for the initial date ( the date that was cancelled) and the new date agreed.  

If the exam is cancelled by the centre, full refund will be given.

NVQ/Diploma Refunds

No refund is available for the NVQ/Diploma once the learner enrolled.

If the payment of the course is completed in instalments, the learner will have to continue with the payment until the end of the course, unless otherwise advised by the finance department of Ascend Training LTD.
